Syrian Electronic Army’s website defaced by Turkish hackers

While the Syrian Electronic Army has been busy hacking into Microsoft’s Social accounts and blogs, their own hosting service has been compromised.

TurkGuvenligi Syrian Electronic Army

A Turkish hacker group calling themselves the “TurkGuvenligi”, hacked the SEA’s Website and posted a message, and also quoted a verse from The Holy Quran.

Following is the text content from the compromised webpage.

TurkGuvenligi

“Gel Babana”

You imbecils will attack our country with fake phishing emails and we’ll accept your lies and don't do anything ? That is the end you deserve:

“And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare [in horror].” Ibráhím – 42

For only conscientious people ! [LINK]

The Syrians have been using phishing emails to gain access to various email accounts. You can read about it at our previous coverage.

The SEA’s website was offline for a while, but an Anti-virus expert Graham Cluley, posted the Google search result for the page, here is what it said.

TurkGuvenligi Was Here

Looks like the Turkish hackers mocked the Syrians by posting their own customary message.

Both the SEA and the TurkGuvenligi took to Twitter in a heated exchange of words (including some profanity).

The SEA refused to acknowledge defeat when taunted by the Turkish hackers, and said they had only attacked their web host and not them. They also said that none of their id’s were on the compromised website.
