Ahead of its release in April, Superstar’s Kochadaiiyaan, now has an official trailer.
The trailer is absolutely brilliant, and shows off the stunningly realistic graphics, from India’s first motion-capture film.
The movie features Rajnikanth playing two roles, Rana and Kochadaiiyaan.
The word Kochadaiiyaan is Tamil for “The king with a long, curly mane”. Now, that is aptly done.

That was a classy show of the flamboyant fighting skills of Rajni, which I should say is reminiscent of his old movies.

Besides the Tamil version the movie will also be released in English and the following regional languages: Telugu, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Hindi, Marathi and Punjabi.
The film is directed by Rajni’s daughter Soundarya R. Ashwin, and stars Deepika Padukone, Nassar, Sarathkumar, Shobana, Aadhi, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Jackie Shroff and more. The story and screenplay was written by K. S. Ravikumar, while the lyrics were penned by Vairamuthu, and the music score was composed by Oscar-winning Musician A R Rahman.
Kochadaiiyaan will hit the theatres on April 11.
