DefectPX is a free software which will help you to identify the dead pixels on your computer monitor. This will fill your screen with 6 colors and you can identify the dead pixels. There are two kind of downloads, one is an installable one and the other does not require an installation.
Open the application , click on the “Hide this Panel”and it will fill the screen with one color, to change the color, right click your mouse.
