Google India today announced that you will be able to get traffic information about 12 Indian cities from Google Maps. The cities Google Maps will support as of now are
Kolkata, Coimbatore, Lucknow, Surat, Thiruvananthapuram, Indore, Ludhiana, Visakhapatnam, Nagpur, Kochi, Madurai, Bhopal
The latest update also will provide you traffic conditions of all National Highways and Express highways of India.
On the above image you can see the Map of Coimbatore. The Red marks will be having heavy traffic while orange says medium and green shows no traffic delays. If you are using navigation mode Google maps will show you real time traffic conditions and can also suggest alternate path which will be faster to reach the destination.
These features are available to both Phone and Desktop versions of Google Maps. If you are from any of the 12 countries it will be really handy.
