On the Asus Zenfone 5 India Facebook group, Ranjan Sharma posted that he received an update from Asus with version number 1.17.40.19. The download size is just 2.72 MB. The person who reported this is using a Zenfone 6 do the users of Asus Zenfone 6 will be receiving the update earlier than other variants. If you own a Zenfone 6 please check your phone for an update.
For other Zenfone users like 5 and 4 may have to wait a bit more (it is not yet available on the Zenfone 5 so far). It is expected to receive this update today.
The update claims to improve your phone’s power management when using the ASUS flip cover and also better stand by time. It also fixes Weather Application location issue.
Rolling out of the update is regional wise and also in phases, so it may take some time to receive all over the world.
